Our library serves as a distinctive and valuable resource center, housing over 16,000 books and more than 2,500 titles. It also includes a wide range of audio/video cassettes, CDs, 200 project reports, encyclopedias, and extensive information on various industries and companies. The library subscribes to numerous prestigious national and international journals, as well as a variety of magazines and newspapers.

Offering a rich collection of reading materials and up-to-date information resources, the library supports academic and research needs effectively. With a seating capacity for over 50 students, it provides a comfortable and conducive environment for study. The library is fully automated, making it easy to check the availability of books and providing seamless access to electronic journals and digital resources.

The entire library is under CCTV surveillance system.

  • Before entering into the library the readers/visitors have to sign in the proper register.
  • All personal belongings except purses, laptop, and notebooks should be deposited at the property counter; the library can’t be held responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Mobile phones likely to cause disturbance must always be in silent mode.
  • Drinking, eating, talking, sleeping, or sitting in an unusual posture is not permissible.
  • Writing, marking, or otherwise disfiguring or damaging books, journals, any documents, or furniture is prohibited.
  • Readers should observe strict silence inside the library.
  • Students are requested to carry their library card at all times and must show it at the request of the library staff.
  • Leave the books/documents on the reading table after consultation.
  • Books are issued only on production of valid library cards issued to the borrowers. Library cards are not transferable. In case of loss or damage of a library card, a copy of an FIR along with an application addressed to the Registrar/Librarian for issuance of a duplicate library card is required. For issuing a duplicate library card, Rs. 100/- shall be charged.
  • Students can borrow 2 books for 20 days from the library. Borrowed book(s) can be re-issued for further two times.
  • Faculty members can borrow 5 books for 28 days. If any faculty requires additional book(s), they need to take permission from the Principal. Borrowed book(s) can be re-issued for further two times.
  • At the time of borrowing books, the borrower is supposed to fill up the borrowing slip and submit it along with their library card.
  • Generally, reference books and journals are not issued to students; however, one reference book/journal can be borrowed for photocopying purposes.
  • It shall be the duty of the borrowers to protect, maintain, and take care of books issued against their names. Borrowers are requested to check if the books being borrowed are complete and no pages are missing. In case of defects/damages in the book, the same should be brought to the notice of the library staff.
  • The librarian may levy double the cost of the books if they are returned in damaged condition.
  • During power/system failure, internet services will be suspended.
  • The librarian may ask the borrower to surrender the book in the library as a process of repossession at any time as a matter of exigency.
  • A fine of Rs. 5/- per day will be charged for overdue books.
  • The late fine for library books will remain Rs. 5/- per day, per book, subject to a maximum of Rs. 100/- within a period of 3 months, and thereafter Rs. 50/- will be added to the said maximum amount of Rs. 100/-.
  • After issuance of books, a student is not allowed to use the reading facility inside the library.
  • If a borrower loses a library book, they must either: a) Replace the lost book with a new one as per the consultation of the librarian with a fine of Rs. 100/-, or b) Pay the current price of the lost book with a fine of Rs. 100/-.
  • Any outside visitors are permitted to use the library facilities only after obtaining permission from the principal or competent authority of the college and providing a copy thereof to the Assistant Librarian/Librarian.
  • Students can access the library only for academic purposes.
  • If any member is found missing, mutilating, cutting pages, marking, or underlining words in a book/journal, disciplinary action will be initiated against them, besides withdrawing library facilities.
  • If a student steals any book or leaves the library without issuing a book, they must pay a fine of Rs. 1000/- plus the cost of the book; otherwise, their library services will be suspended.
  • Students cannot bring personal books inside the library.
  • The borrower will be held responsible for all materials until they have been returned in good condition.
  • The borrower can use the charging system from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • The librarian is empowered to reconsider the case of a penalty on sufficient grounds.
